NEWS: Hansho helps Kansan (Japan) to get US DOT approval for cylinder re-inspection using ultrasonic
inspection. April 2010. Hansho
teamed with a renouned US machine manufacturer to help Kansan Co. Ltd. of Gunma, Japan (www.kansan.co.jp ) to get US DOT approval for ultrasonic inspection
of steel and aluminum high pressure gas cylinders. Kansan is the first non-American facility to obtain
DOT approval for ultrasonic inspection. Ultrasonic inspection is a new faster, safer, and better alternative
to traditional hydrostatic testing of gas cylinders. Kansan continues their position of leading the Japanese gas
services industry with new safety standards and world-class testing, re-inspection, and cylinder refurbishment services.
Hansho provides the ultrasonic inspection machine, combined with training, certifications, and assistance with the
DOT audit and approval procedure.
